MOTD- OPI “When Monkeys Fly!”

Hi everybody!

Today I have for you an insanely cool glitter bomb topcoat from OPI’s 2013 “Oz The Great and Powerful” collection. This collection brought 3 of OPI’s sheer “softshades” colors, as well as 3 glitter bomb topcoats, and one fantastic liquid sand texture polish. Recently, I was able to try 1 glitter, 1 softshades color, and the liquid sand. Today I just have for you my glitter of choice. So let’s get started!

When Monkeys Fly!

When Monkeys Fly!

“When Monkey’s Fly!” is a glitter polish jam packed with very large, holographic gold hexagon glitters, medium sized silver hex glitters, and tiny, silvery translucent hex glitters, all in a clear base. I love this color! It’s very reminiscent of the Love and Beauty polish, Gold, that I reviewed here, except on steroids, lol! I was first inspired to try this polish when I saw MillieMuppet wear it on her blog (found here– lot’s of great nail polish beauties to be found!). She told me that she didn’t experience any glitter curling with the large gold hex glitters like I had heard other bloggers had had trouble with. And she was 100% correct. I had no issue at all wearing this polish. The glitters stayed firmly in their place. Application was easier than expected- I only had to place the large glitters occasionally. Overall, this polish is a real showstopper by OPI, and I would highly recommend it to any fellow glitter lovers out there! Below are pictures without any topcoat, and over two coats of Essie “Bonded”.

So what do you think of this glitter-tastic topper? Hot or not? Are you a glitter lover like me? Let me know in the comments below! I’ll have the other polishes I tried from this collection for you in the near future!
